Dear Church Family,

These are unprecedented and troubling times. Psalm 46 declares God is a very present help in time of trouble, and even though we do not know what will be, HE does. Let us continue to trust Him and know that He will work all things for our good.

Governor, Ron DeSantis, the CDC and the World Health Organization have made several suggestions on how to reduce the number of people exposed to COVID-19. One is they have asked for there to be no meeting or gathering of more than 10 people in a location. Therefore, we are suspending all Wednesday and Sunday services through the month of April. At that time we will re-evaluate the situation and determine if the suspension should be extended or ended.

Although we will not be physically meeting in one place, we can all join together and worship on our Facebook live stream. If you are not following our Facebook page, search “First Baptist Church Lake Alfred”, “Like” our page and join us for live stream worship. Dr. White has agreed to continue preaching and will be here with our praise team to lead us in worship.

Please remember even though our services may have been suspended, our expenses have not. Please give online through our website (click on “Give Online”), our app, or simply text (text FBCLA to 77977). You may also mail in your check or stop by the office.

We are asking you to pray, pray, pray for the end of COVID-19, for the protection of those around us, for those who are suffering currently, and those families who have lost loved ones, pray for our government officials that they will have wisdom in combatting this disease and for our fears and anxieties to be replaced with faith, as we know that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind.
Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
