First Baptist Church Lake Alfred

“The story of First Baptist Lake Alfred began in 1916 when Mrs. Sam Boone, a local resident whose husband ran a general store, became burdened by the Holy Spirit to begin a new church in Lake Alfred. That year she sent a request to the Florida Baptist Convention to charter a church in Lake Alfred. Her request was granted and the following year a small group of believers began meeting in a storefront in town. Not long after, believers began to raise funds to buy a lot and build a church building. In all the history of FBC Lake Alfred is one of material and spiritual need and God’s faithful supply.

The vision that came to fruition over 100 years ago is continuing today. We are grateful for the godly legacy of Christ followers who have served and led this church I the past. Each passing year is a reminder of God’s faithfulness as well as an opportunity to carry the mission forward. As such, you have an opportunity to be a part of what God is doing in Lake Alfred and serve as a vital instrument to carry on the mission of FBC Lake Alfred by serving others, developing disciples and sharing Jesus Christ to both our neighborhood and the nations!.
